IN SERVICE: ENGAGING AND CONNECTING THROUGH CLAY - NORTHERN CLAY CENTER

So excited about this @thedemocraticcup collaboration with @thebrightangle and @lizpechacek for the Democratic Cup project! @northernclaycenter is hosting an exhibition of three other Minnesota makers at NCECA in Minneapolis this year.

For this project the potters make a prototype which is then molded and cast by the bright angle, curated with @ayumihorie then decalled with illustrations designed by various artists. Liz Pechacek designed this porcelain vessel, and I created the illustration depicting the new proposed Line 3 oil pipeline and it’s path through the heart of many lakes, wild rice watersheds, and Indigenous Reservation treaty territories.
